How will my kid be getting to camp?

All attendees must be dropped off by an adult who has access to the Brushfire camp registration receipt which will be utilized during the check in process.

What will the Check In / Check Out process look like?

Upon arrival on Sunday@ 6pm-7pm (06/30), everyone will enter the entrance marked Kids Camp 2019. **Arrival arrangements outside of the provided timeframe must be confirmed in advance with your church’s Kids Ministry Dir.

Step 1: At this entrance, you will be greeted by our Check In Team where you will remain in your car and check in your student.

Step 2: They will then direct you to travel down a short road to the cabin area. (There will be signs directing you along the way.)

Step 3: Once you’ve arrived at your appropriate cabin, you will park and unload your camper’s belongings and place them in the front lobby of their assigned cabin. (Campers will be setting up their own bedding after chapel that night.)

Once their belongings are dropped off in the cabin lobby, your child will be directed to join the counselors outside in the backfield for game time (feel free to hop back in your car and follow the signs to freedom; AKA exit the camp grounds).

*We will have counselors available throughout the back cabin area, wearing their Kids Camp 2019 Lanyard, to direct your family through the check-in process. (Feel free to stop and ask them questions.)

**Please Note: If your child requires medication during their stay, we will have a medication check-in station located in the center of the cabins; this station will be supervised by a medical practitioner.

On Wednesday@ 7pm (07/03) your entire family is invited to join us at for our last chapel in the Tabernacle.

Step 1: Upon arrival park in the empty field across from Camp Haluwasa. PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE INSIDE THE CAMP WHEN YOU ARRIVE ON WEDNESDAY; no exceptions. (This is to ensure the safety of all campers & staff due to increased pedestrian traffic during this timeframe.)

Step 2: All camper bags will be brought to the Tabernacle and separated by church.  After our last chapel, the checkout process will conclude with:

a) Meet up with your church leader who will initiate the process by reviewing the Brushfire receipt for your child. (Give your camper the biggest hug ever)

**Please ensure you have access to your child’s Brushfire registration receipt to expedite this processs.

b) You will be directed to your church’s assigned baggage pick up area followed by exiting the camp grounds.

Will my child be safe?

Safety is a primary focus so we’ve taken the necessary precautions to ensure that your child not only has a fun and memorable experience. All kids are required to be with a counselor at all times.

With that being said… accidents do happen. We will have a nurse (or other highly trained professional) on premises at all times.

*All kids have to take a mandatory swim test to determine their ability and a staff lifeguard is ALWAYS on duty during swim times.

What if my child has allergies or takes medication?

Haluwasa is ready for your child! There is a separate refrigerator for your child’s food and we can accommodate a special table or dining time; if necessary.

Your child’s counselor will ensure their medication schedule is kept just like you were there yourself. We are parents too 😉

*Upon registration there is a field for you to provide us with all allergy and medication information we’ll need to be prepared. Additionally, upon arrival you’ll be able to connect with a specified staff member for you to ensure all details are met.
